Being a stay-at-home mom can be hard work. And especially being the mom of 4 kids, a phrase that I hear a lot is, “I don’t know how you do it.” I honestly don’t know how to respond when something like that is said to me. Some days I am not sure how everything I do gets done. But I can tell you something for sure, it is not on my own strength.
Every day can come with a task, problem, battle, or situation that might seem impossible. But if you know Jesus, you have everything you already need. You are equipped.
This promise is so evident when I look back at different times in my life. I may have thought that what was before me seemed impossible, but the end result is that I made it through to the other side. Exactly how things get done, I am not sure…but I know I had enough to complete the task.
So just to encourage someone today, whatever you are facing, you are not left alone, you will be equipped. You will make it through. There will eventually be an end. We are not promised that things will be easy in this life, but that Jesus is there every step of the way.
Here are a couple of verses that remind us of this truth….
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Again, realize the truth that we are promised in these verses. We will be equipped, and we will never be alone. Take a moment to look back on difficult situations in your life, and realize how you got through them. Sometimes it helps to be reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness for today.
So do not fear, for you will be equipped! He will be faithful. Its not just a nice thought, it is a fact.
